Egan’s Irish Whiskey Launch Special Edition
Egan’s Irish Whiskey have recently launched a new whiskey expression commemorating the 100th anniversary of the passing of Henry Egan.
P&H Egan is a family company from Tullamore spanning six generations with whiskey in their blood. The family heritage dates back 1852, when Patrick Egan Senior moved his business to Tullamore and purchased the iconic Bridge House and the family business evolved from there.
His two sons, Henry and his brother Patrick Junior carried on the family legacy for many years and built a large and diverse enterprise in Tullamore that involved brewing, bottling, malting, whiskey bonding, retail, pubs, hotels and even animal feeds!
Today, the fifth and sixth generations are led by Jonathan and Maurice Egan who continue to carry on the family legacy.
In commemoration of Henry’s great achievements, the family have now launched a special edition, crafted in his honour called Egan’s Centenary. Egan’s Centenary Irish Whiskey is a blend, aged in bourbon casks and then finished for three months in cognac casks.
The launch of Egan’s Centenary marks another iconic moment for Midlands Whiskey and will be a welcome addition to our Midlands Whiskey Tasting Experience family!
